Well, it’s crazy how over the years, we have all come to embrace Valentine’s day. Lingerie shops popping with red pieces, Chocolate stores, Flowers shops, selling fast on that day, not forgetting the cake trend (not too sure about that ).
A lot of singles really dread this day because society has made us believe that not having a romantic relationship means that there is a big void in our lives, thus Valentine’s day blues.
Romance is a beautiful feeling, but should it be attached to one day? So after Valentine’s day, you mean you won’t buy me flowers, the chocolates (specifically black chocolates ), no gifts, or dinners? Honey, you must be a joker!
I can’t say I have never felt the blues, but do they affect me? Nope!
Will it make me buy flowers for myself and pretend on Social media that it’s from someone? Nope!!!
Will it make me sulk all day? Never!!!
I beat Valentine’s day Blues. Like this:
It’s Just Another Day
Valentine’s Day is just another day, it has 24 hrs, will fall on any of the days from Monday-Sunday, No special extra day. It’s not even a holiday.
You Are Your Valentine
What stops you from loving yourself romantically? I mean instead of buying gifts for yourself and post up on Social media pretending to get it from a ghost lover, you can address it to yourself for being awesome over the years. Go out for a drink, I did last night.
God Is Love
If you believe God is love, where are those blues from? His love is abundant and can’t be compared to that of anyone
When Everyone is Wearing Red or White, Wear Black
Perfect day to mourn the Exes…The past is gone, never try to rekindle old Flames because of just one day.
I stayed busy all day, working with my team. I had fun shooting an Episode of Fashion Sphere featuring Fashion Photographers and guess what? I didn’t only achieve work for that day without distraction, but I learned new things, made new friends and also had free photo shoots by some of Ghana’s finest Photographers.
