It’s the beginning of another year and I must confess that I’m not so big with new year resolutions but I absolutely think it’s important to make principle decisions and changes as you grow older. One of the best traits I picked up last year is living free from hate, not that I ever hated anyone but I just didn’t want any sleepless night from negativity, the only sleepless nights had to be from workload or how to make the next dollar. Try it, I promise you won’t regret it.
2019 is here and I call it the “YEAR OF DOING MORE”. For me its the year of doing more because you never know how much potentials you have, till you push yourself to actually do more; so friends if you want more this year, you definitely have to do more. Truth is, it’s really easy to want more and tell yourself “ I will do more”, but end up doing nothing at all. Thanks but no thanks to the inner you for that. Don’t worry, it happens to the best of us too, nevertheless lets focus on the most important factors of “Doing more”.
PROCRASTINATION IS A B*TCH
I know how many times I have told myself I would accomplish something, but keep postponing it for no just cause. When you critically think about it, you would ask yourself why in the world you would allow laziness take the best of your lifetime; the best of your lifetime because postponing activities usually lead to never doing it, doing nothing leads to accomplishing nothing. Watching television and our Phones also contribute to fueling Procrastination, Take a break from them.
We all know someone that always comes with juicy gist, or maybe you always have juicy gist on other people; honestly 80% of these gists are always gossip. The moment I stopped associating to cheap gossip, the only thing I missed was nothing. This actually helps you to focus more on yourself and channel your energy into more important things. If you have nothing to do, try sleeping or reading a new book, it will do your body and mind some remarkable good.
I actually underestimated the power of scheduling activities, but last year it helped me push myself to accomplish whatever I wrote down to accomplish in a day, you can either do this on your phone, a dairy or notepad. No matter how unimportant you might think an activity is, writing it down in your to do list puts you in check by reminding you each time you look at it.
TAKE A CHILL PILL
It can be overwhelming wanting to accomplish so many things at once especially for the fact that it always comes with some level of pressure and stress; Chill my friend, take it easy, run it off, swim it off or maybe just dance it off. ‘All work and no play makes jack a dull boy”, usually all you need to fuel back the energy or clear your mind is just taking a break, put the work aside and just do something that you love to do that isn’t work. I usually just like working out or running, it has a way of clearing my mind and fueling back my energy. Do something that isn’t work, there’s no harm in trying new things.
It’s never too late to make positive changes and I hope you find the strength to do more this year. Happy New Year my loves and Do more this year.
