On Tuesday evening at the Untamed Empire concept store located in Accra, the Ghanaian Fashion industry welcomed a new brand. From the stables of 1981, AKU+VI a womenswear label was welcomed by fashion lovers across the city of Accra.
AKU+VI is from the stables of 1981; same designer, both womenswear brands but the difference here is that unlike the brand 1981 which is manufactured in Europe, AKU+VI is made in Ghana with very chic, comfortable , girly, and stylish- simple pieces for every female that loves style. The collection as presented by melanin rich Ghanaian models showcased a variety from drop waist dresses, shift dresses, different kinds of tops to trousers and jackets all made from very interesting types of fabrics, such as the batik, printed , silk, cotton etc.
Apart from the presentation of this collection, it was truly a fun night of networking and making new friends.
Below are some of the cloths captured by my phone, after my DSLR camera battery died on me .
