Honestly, I felt really cool walking out of the salon with my new braids, because I was channeling my inner tuareg girl but little did I know there still lived a group of African women in the world who still believed they are not beautiful without some extra help.
In this video, I share my experience on how I was looked down on, because of my choice of hairstyle and the effects of beauty standards in our society today.
